The Complete, Short List of What Is Actually Paid in KasbPro
No vague "premium features" language — the exact, named list of what Pro adds, what it costs, and why those specific things and nothing else. Everything not on this list is free, on any mode, forever.

Vague pricing pages are where trust goes to die. "Premium features" and "advanced tools" tell you nothing until you've already signed up and gone looking. This is the opposite of that: the complete, named list of what costs money in KasbPro, why those specific things, and — just as important — the long list of what people often assume is paid but genuinely is not.
The complete Pro list, named exactly
Pro is $49 a year, billed yearly only, no monthly option. It adds exactly seven things:
- AI Accountant — chat with your books in plain language. You supply your own AI provider API key; the $49 does not include AI provider usage costs.
- AI receipt and voucher scanning — photograph or upload a receipt and have it auto-fill an expense entry.
- Document uploads, synced to your own Google Drive.
- Advanced Reports — Budget vs Actual, a Tax/VAT summary, and Branch/Project P&L.
- Draft Audit Report — your statements and notes compiled into a PDF and Word pack. This is a compiled draft, not an audit performed by a licensed auditor — if a bank or investor specifically asks for an audit, you still need an auditor.
- Automated backups — an unattended monthly export emailed to you, or, once Google Drive is connected, a weekly or monthly snapshot pushed straight into your Drive. This is specifically about unattended backups — see the callout below for what stays free.
- AI CRM coach, plus priority support.
That is the entire list. Nothing else in the product — no core feature, no report, no module — is behind a paywall.
Why these seven, specifically
Look at the list again and a pattern is visible: every item either runs an AI/LLM call, stores files on infrastructure that costs money per gigabyte, generates a compiled document on demand, or runs unattended on a schedule whether or not anyone is watching. Each of the seven has a real, ongoing marginal cost to us every time it's used. That is the actual dividing line — not "which features feel premium," but which features cost us money per use versus which ones (a ledger entry, a report query, an invoice) cost essentially nothing to serve regardless of how many you generate.
The long list of what is genuinely free — no cap, no trial clock
Stated explicitly, because "free" without specifics is exactly the kind of vague claim this post exists to avoid:
- The full double-entry ledger and all four core financial statements — Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance — for any date range
- Sales Invoices and Purchase Bills, with tax, line items and stock sync
- Inventory tracking, including demand forecasting, product classification (reorder/low/healthy/overstock/dead), and the replenishment plan
- Full HR and Payroll — attendance, leave, payroll runs, PDF payslips
- CRM — leads, the Kanban deal pipeline, quotations, deal-to-invoice
- Receivables and payables with aging and overdue alerts
- General ledger drill-down
- Unlimited team members and role-based access, enforced at the database level
- Data export and import (Excel/CSV/JSON) — on demand, any time, no limit. Only the unattended, scheduled version of this (email or Drive, running automatically without you clicking anything) is Pro — see below.
- MCP access — connecting ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to read your live numbers (read-only; this is one of the few free features with a real infrastructure cost, kept free by deliberate choice)
- Both accounting modes (Light/Simple and Standard/Full) and every progressive feature module
There is no transaction cap, no team-member cap, no time limit, and no trial clock counting down toward a forced upgrade anywhere on this list.
The places people genuinely get confused
A few specific things trip people up, and all are worth naming directly rather than leaving implicit:
"Simple" and "Standard" sound like tiers, but they're a display setting. They control how much of the app's menu and form fields are visible at once — nothing about billing. Covered in full in the companion post.
Turning on the "Advanced Reports" module doesn't make Advanced Reports free. The module toggle (free, in Settings → Features) controls whether the menu item is visible. The page behind it separately checks whether your company is on Pro. You can have the module switched on and still see an upgrade prompt when you open it — that's correct behavior, not a bug, and it is one case where a "this is free" signal (a visible menu item) and "this actually is free" are not the same thing.
Clicking "Export" is free. Scheduling it to happen without you is Pro. The same line applies to backups specifically: generate a CSV or JSON export yourself, any time, unlimited — always free, on every plan, and it always will be. The moment nobody has to click anything — an email that shows up automatically every month, a file that appears in your Drive on its own — that unattended automation is what the seventh item on the list above is pricing, not the data itself.
If you're not sure whether you need Pro
Check the seven-item list at the top against what you're actually trying to do today, not hypothetically. If none of the seven apply, you don't need to pay, and there is nothing time-limited pushing you toward it — the free plan is not a trial, it is the permanent, complete way to run the operational side of a business on KasbPro.
If you want the fuller reasoning on exactly when each becomes worth paying for, the WordPress founder's guide to Pro covers the same reasoning in more depth, including the referral programme as a path to Pro that costs nothing.
